Consultation
Consultation will take place throughout the Detail Design and Class Environmental Assessment. The Consultation Plan includes:
- Notice of Detail Design Study Commencement
- Consultation with regulatory agencies and stakeholders
- Consultation with Indigenous Communities
- Prince Edward County Council meeting
- Communication with property owners, residents, and businesses in the study area
- One Public Information Centre (PIC)
- Preparation of a Design and Construction Report (DCR)
- Notice of Study Completion and 30-day comment period of the DCR
The purpose of the PIC will be to introduce the project, present the Detail Design and Class EA process, the detail design and construction staging alternatives, roundabout education materials, and environmental impacts and proposed mitigation measures. The PIC will provide an opportunity to discuss issues or concerns directly with members of the project team. Additionally, during the PIC presentation roundabout educational materials will be provided for information purposes. Displays and presentation materials will become available on this site following the PIC.
All notices will be published in the following local newspapers:
- Picton Gazette (in English)
- Picton County Weekly News (in English)
The notices will also be posted on this website and sent directly to all contacts on the project mailing list.
Stakeholder input will be incorporated into the project findings and recommendations as appropriate.
